Description
Antique hand painted Limoges hinged top porcelain hand painted trinket box. On the top of the box is a colorful depiction of a boat with three men rowing toward the Marine Royale fleet ship. On The right lower corner of the box is the initials “M.R. 1750. Inside the box there are five birds in a line formation, and on the inside lid is written in script “Marine Royale 1750”. The bottom of the box has an initial but not legible. Decorative acorn leaf style front clasp snaps firmly. There is some minor paint loss on parts of the gold banding around the box (see photos).
