Description
Vintage singing bird’s musical automaton bird cage. One bird has yellow, black, and gray feathers and the other bird has red and black feathers. Inside the cage one bird is sitting on a metal perch and the other one a metal cylinder on the floor of the cage. There are vines, leaves, and berries around them. When you activate the on off switch and wind the key on the bottom, both birds move their heads each chirping in harmony, beaks and tails in synchronicity. The cage is silver toned repousse featuring cherubs in various poses holding flowers, and a gold tone floral trim. On the bottom of the cage are three turned brass feet, wind key, label with stop, start, pause control in two languages English and German and stamped Germany. The berries on branch have some missing paint. Demonstration of birds singing and movement below.
