Description
Antique Georgian enameled hair mourning brooch pin. The brooch is black with white and gold enamel trim. Brooch features: Weeping willow and “urn” motif, glass covered locket front compartment, and inside woven hair. Brooch is featured in Bell’ Collector’s Encyclopedia of Hair work Jewelry page 94. All parts are original to the piece; there are signs of minimal wear commensurate with age.
